Just a guess: less than 2%, probably less than 1%

When you're cranking out nearly 400 ghzdays/day with the gpu, a 1% increase is still more than any one of the cores on my cpu is doing. :)

Dumb question: if I have GPU sieving enabled, do I need to run multiple instances for dual-GPU cards (such as the GTX #90), or is that only necessary for multiple cards?

This new GPU-sieving mfaktc release got me thinking. Provided with enough power and adequate cooling, one could stick four GTX 580 (or even four GTX 590, if drivers support that), and get an insane combined through output from a single box.

Wowzers!! That setup would require significant cooling.

And I think the issue on the forum is performance per dollar.

As do I, but mostly for "it's fun to look at" reasons than cooling reasons

(though of course the latter is a welcome benefit).
