Consider me (and every other super-mod) omniscient but not omnipresent.

We promise we won't "leak" information to the other team. But come on, make a move!

We, sssnakesss, are omnisssssscient, but we have reached a higher level of understanding of humans. You only eat them after they've stoped moving, ok? Live and learn. Before that we are totally invisible... and silent, too.

Half testing the mod powers, half because come on chalsall, we have a week, as per the agreed upon rules.

Yes, you are a demigod. And sorry -- I was impatient.

Listening to "should it be king's knight's pawn, or queens bishops' pawn?" made my teeth itch.

But it's your game.

It might be a slow game (?) but we are enjoying the analysis. We even have a (real) chess set on the shelf with the game position, just to look at and think about.

I also set a board on the desk at home, but up to now not so much to analyze. I had however to instruct the little enemies around the house not to touch it, and that was painful...

I will be out of town from 19 (inclusive), as the girls (Mrs LaurV and little Ms LaurV) have holiday from their school, and we might go somewhere closer to the sea for a week or so. It should be nice if we send the move and get back the answer by then, to be able to do some analysis and reply before I leave, so let the ball on Gecko's field. In this way I will not miss any turn.

For the current turn, Raman and me voted last night, so is up to you. If we all 4 decide for 4 different moves, it will be painful, we will have to start arguing an convincing one another, or how? :D

If you (Dub and sm88) don't know the opening, now is a good opportunity to go on wiki and read about, eventual make small analysis, follow the first 5-6 moves, explications. It is very interesting. Win or lose do not matter, but learning, well, that is why I joined. I still rediscover wonderful things about chess every time when I reread those texts (I have read them hundreds of time!).

So, if you wanna play and learn, do your homework, it is not enough to say "I don't know this opening" and because of that, just follow what Raman or me say. You are entitled to your own opinion. So, speak it up. That is why is called VOTE chess...

Well yes, but I thought that was against the rules...? I had considered it, but it is a rather gray area.

I have a chessboard but I'm not using it ( partly because I'm not sure it's fair, and secondly because I'd have to have things to use as pieces I think they are all gone) . I also have a Pari based chessboard/move set of scripts but no idea how to automate the process like an engine anyway, I'm also not using it anyway.
