Default File transfer client?

Usually we do file transfers via the command line, but we could use a GUI utility to manage some of our bigger tasks. We are thinking of something similar to WinSCP.

What is your favorite?

FWIW, we are running Gnome on Ubuntu.

under windoze, Total Commander from Ghisler has a very nice and small ftp client (like cuteFTP). I really love the 2-boxes-side-by-side layout (Norton Commander style).
