Mars rover Curiosity delivering treasure trove of photos
Quote:
In interviews with The Times, engineers said initial reviews of Curiosity's final minutes in flight revealed a startling fact: The landing ran into fewer problems than any of the hundreds of simulations they had run over the last two years.

"It was cleaner than any of our tests," said Al Chen, a JPL engineer and member of the mission's landing team, shaking his head with amazement. "It was a blast."

Default Is it just me?

Is it just me, or are others really exasperated that the "Mohawk Guy" (a JPL flight director who got an unusual hair cut for the landing) is getting almost as much, if not more, media coverage as the lander itself???

I swear we've entered a new Dark Ages....

Not sure how to interpret this one.

So far, we have color (sic) photos from Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. That exhausts the planets in our solar system.

I'm not aware of (note, not from) any full-colour images of any exo-planets but would not be surprised if such exist.

Surely you mean we have color photos of the other solar planets, but not from them? AFAIK, no recent probe has landed on one with a good enough camera.

Photos of exo-planets would be awesome, but that seems a bit far-fetched to me (where far is of course many light years ).
