Exactly. I had 8 cores working on different ranges of p (0-5e8, 5e8-10e8 etc.) so now I have 8 srsieve.out files and each of them has some candidates missing due to factors from its respective p range.

I see. I wouldn't have done it that way. I would have sieved the same range of p but for different ranges of k, to about 1e8 (some value above the max k), then switched to sr2sieve. sr2sieve will work that way you want srsieve to work.

I am new to pfgw read & re-read instuction page but can get pfgw to test my prps. Can someone tell me the comand line to test my prp file. I have used PFGW pfgw.txt -f0 -tp

you just have to put the filename at the end.

same thing as soon as I hit start I get message box that says This rage of work has been completed Please close this message box ans start a new range. but that message pops up no sooner than I hit the start button. Got to go to work now will read back at midnight est

That sounds like PFGW thinks it processed all the work in your input file. Could you post the first handful of lines from your input file? Maybe a corrupt header or an extremely short test that does not trigger any output? Have you tried -l to get a logfile even when there is no PRP?

If there is a pgw.ini file, delete it. You can add -Cverbose for verbose logging to the console.

Still no luck. all that is in the pfgw.log is the 1 prp but for the life of me cant get it to test it.
