$999 is for the X; the 3930K that everyone bought is only ~$600.

Activity is only counted when you have a computer running P95 that talks to PrimeNet.

There's no page for manual submission of progress reports -- percentages of completion, estimated completion dates.

Still though, you'd think reporting results (or extending assignments) would count as "activity".

Lies! It's OC to 4.5GHz (36*125) and perfectly stable there. It does boot into Windows up to 4.95GHz, but not Prime-stable above 4.5 (besides, it already pumps out enough heat where it is).

I tried running 6x P-1 workers (plus CUDALucas on the GPU) for a while, but I found it to still be RAM bandwidth-starved, despite 4 channels (albeit running at 1333). I've gone back to 2x mfaktc + 4x P-1 and that works much better.

I've noticed that my CPU and GPU temperatures are typically close, and also (by coincidence) tend to follow in °C the ambient house temperature in °F ( US thermometers in incomprehensible units) -- when it's cool around 70°C, when it's hot in here around 80°C.
