Some other teams have regulations that expressly specify how the rights, responsibilities, and ....money
are shared between the team members. If I join to GPU-2-72 team (that would push the team few steps higher in the top, especially at first-LL-testing), and find a prime next day do I take all the money, or I have to share with the other members? I always been a very selfish guy and don't want to share my money with you...

Umm... there isn't any sort of official team; it's just for stats. No terms or conditions, you keep it to yourself. (Though I wonder why it needed to be brought up?)

If you use Prime95(or mprime) or PrimeNet (directly or via GPU to 72), you are bound by their requirements.

No, but perhaps an explicit statement is in order.
As the "creator" of the team on PrimeNet (at the suggestion of Chuck; I never would have thought of it myself), anyone who finds a Prime from a candidate assigned through GPU72.com gets to keep any prize money, and receives the credit, as defined by George and PrimeNet. This includes anyone who uses the GPU72.com tool for work assignment; those on the "GPU to 72" PrimeNet team, and all of those who are independent. We would very much welcome your (and anyone else) joining to help with our stats. Last fiddled with by chalsall on 2012-05-03 at 20:05 Reason: Further clarification. GPU72.com makes no claims on work done. |

The 3k is thousands of times much more easier and realistic to grab then the 50k, there are less expos to chose for 3k, and testing one of them takes much shorter time. @Dubslow: Why I brought it up? No, I did not find a prime . I was first playing with numbers and thinking how me joining the team would influence team's position in the top, then seriously thinking to join the team. So, I liked it to have the conditions stated clearly. Not only for myself, as I said it many times, when I say "I", I am thinking to any Joe Average who would like to join the team, but is being unclear about the consequences such action would have. I like to have the things stated clearly before starting messing with them. Dogs won't fight if they have no bone to share, but when the bone is juicy, even humans, and even brothers will rip the head off each other... Last fiddled with by LaurV on 2012-04-30 at 04:14 |

Ok, I joined the team, but contrary to my previous beliefs, it did not influence its position in the top. That is because the only results that counts are results you got (work you did) AFTER joining the team. So, my stats in the past are mine, they were not added to the team stats. If I think more about it, this is the correct way, because then you can easily change the teams, but the work you did during you were in a team stays with that team. This is good to know. You can't take your toys and go home, like upset children do
.So, up to now, I did not contribute with any bit to the team stats. I am going to send a big bunch of TF (333M range to 69 bits) in few minutes, to repair this. ![]() Now questions: according with my English, this two dates are reversed, or I have a wrong understanding about which one is recent and which one is older. Code:
Team Members Members Most Recent Activity Least Recent Activity 16 2011-07-08 19:08 2012-05-01 17:45 Another question, who is the i7-3930X in the computer list? How is it? Does it worth the money? (I think this is already a question for another topic). Last fiddled with by LaurV on 2012-05-01 at 18:03 Reason: format the code tag, it was all messed up from direct copy/paste |

Like Dubslow said I have a 3930k.
I regard them (3930k and 3960X) as the best performing consumer grade cpus out there for this project atm. -- Craig |

Wear it with a lot of satisfaction! (This is what we say in our language if someone has a brand new or a very good/rare thing, dunno if it's proper in English). One of the 2600k in the list are mine, OC'd to 4.5 gigs, and that is the best I have, I have played with 2700k and 3820, but they were not mine and I had to sent them to the real owner after testing. I never touched a beast like 3960X neither 3930K, but I am thinking to one, especially after I found out that the bottleneck in my system is - unbelievable! - the 2600k, which I assumed I will never be able to squeeze in whole my life, now despite the OC, it sounds like a strangled cat compared with the hardware around. I know the "9" is the luckiest number in Thai (no joke! Idiots pay MILLIONS to get a car number with 999 or 9999!) but a $999 would be kinda hole in my pocket at this moment. Point is with those money I could buy two 2500k full systems (or 2600k, or even 2700k with less memory and a weaker mobo), and be far ahead with computing...
