I only use menus for things like start up disk creators and printers, and in thinking about this post, I just realized/tested that I can just bring those up with Gnome Do as well (if I know the names). I could then theoretically not use menus at all, and in fact I think I will do just that.

I just found this website that compares and reviews GUIs from all sources: http://toastytech.com/guis/index.html.
FWIW, he doesn't have much good to say about Unity or GNOME 3. Rodrigo |

For chalsall:
http://www.webupd8.org/2011/05/netwo...ator.html#more Looks and feels exactly like the System Monitor Applet (except no tooltips allowed). Actually, this is for Unity, not Gnome 3... but I'm sure there's something similar somewhere. |

I've heard about XFCE, but I'm mainly addicted to the System Monitor panel ...applet? that came with Gnome 2. Does such a thing exist in XFCE?
