Default Getting high TF limits work

There is a box to check on the LL TF "Get assignments" page to request work TFed to lowest levels, but no way to do the opposite. I know that some do not want this work that takes longer to complete.

The only way I see to get TF 71—>72 work is to find a range of available candidates that happen to have no work available in any lower bit levels, and then restrict selection using the "Optional range" limitation.

If a "Will factor from" option or a "Gets work currently TFed to 71" option was available, I would be happy to concentrate on this less popular higher range.

That would be appreciated. Although I can tell you that approximately half of all assignments are "pledged" to 72. (I really need to get back to the code base for a little while, and publicly expose my "Pledged" report (and get the Extend function working).)

So everyone knows, previously if the "Lowested Factored" option was not clicked, the query sorted by exponent.

I have just changed the query to now be the opposite of lowest -- it's now highest. So if someone pledges to go to 72, but don't check the Lowest option, they will first be assigned exponents which have been already been TFed to 71 (then 70, etc).

Great. It works as advertised. I just requested an additional 20 exponents without the "Lowest" option box checked, and I got the desired 71—>72 work.

Thanks for the fast response.

Sorry about that; that's me... I'm adding some "heuristics" to the assignment page such that if someone asks to only go to 71, the system will assign work above 55M since we're currently returning work to PrimeNet at that "depth" there. (I want to get our reserved count down a bit.)

I had a conditional which only checked that the high range wasn't changed from 60M, but didn't (until about two minutes ago) have a check that the lower range hadn't been changed.

I'm going to add a drop-down menu which defaults to "Do what makes sense" (with "Lowest Factored Depth", "Highest Factor Depth", "Lowest Exponents" and "Oldest Exponents" (as reserved from PrimeNet) options) which will be tied into this, but until then if you (or anyone else) changes the ranges it will do what you expect (i.e. assign you work within the ranges you actually set).

I would definitely use that (though ATM as I've said my GPU is out of action). I'm still pulling at least one worker of P-1 though, and I'm planning on increasing that soon.

Those sound like some great options.

OK, these are all now enabled on the LL TF Get Assignments page.

(And apologies to BDot who happened to try to reserve some assignments just when I was testing this. So you know BDot, you were not issued any assignments at that time.)
