As of right now, the GPU to 72 Project has found 514 factors!!!

930 LL/DC tests saved. 197 P-1 tests saved.

A total of 78,340 GHz Days (215 GHz YEARS) saved!!!

Woot! 6 P-1 factors, 22 TF factors. Not too bad for 8 cores total, and 1 GPU.

That said, I just got a reminder of my power consumption concerns. That is to say that the electric bill arrived: up ~33% from last month. Ouch.

Indeed! I like the numbers in front (I was missing them). Sortable columns will be fine too. Aditional column with cleared exponents would be also fine (and sum the factors with the DC's).

Same "ouch" here, my "winter time" power consumption almost doubled since I bought my new computer, reaching almost a third of the "summer time" consumption.

[ In Thai winter time is usually the "low power consumption" period. Beside of the computers, there is only the fridge, ironing from time to time, and the (max 20-50W) aquarium pumps and filters. Not counting lighting the house in the evening here and there, which is done all the year, I don't like to put my fingers in my eyes, or the water pump that runs a bit (few minutes) every day to refill the tank during all the year. I don't have any TV in the house, and I am not missing it. During the rainy season (july-sept) there's an air drier which runs continuously in the room where my daughter's piano is placed. And during the summer (march-june, and specially april, the hottest month of the year in my area) at least two or three airconds run almost 24/7.]

We were not specifically asked for data about our farm, but perhaps our data might be helpful. Please note that our approach is by far not the most economical way to work things out. It is, however, very easy.

We have 4 very noisy boxes. Each box draws ~350W at full load. We had to split the group up into pairs and put them into separate rooms for thermal and electrical reasons. Each room is on a different branch circuit.

The ambient temperature in each room varies from 83°F in the summer when the house is set to 78°F and 79°F in the winter when the house is set to 75°F.

We have a batch file that fires everything up so when we have a power outage the boxes just go back to work. They are each protected by an APC surge protector. We wanted to hook everything up through our APC UPS but when the UPS goes to battery the boxes die. We have been told this is a problem for newer computers. Our UPS puts out a stepped sine wave so that might be the problem.

Yup, you need better than a stepped sine-wave for your PFC power supply...it doesn't understand about those corners in the voltage!
