Just noticed this anomaly. On Prime95 (Mac version) v26.6b3. When the communication worker decided to send updates to the server at 19:13, it restarted the (P-1) workers with new memory settings. Luckily both workers were in Stage 1 so this had no affect. Wonder what would happen otherwise?

I was working with a secondary machine on a temporary basis and I think that machine reported an "update" to the server. Then, when the real machine did its normal update, it picked up the newer (wrong) memory settings and applied it locally. The secondary machine was only around for half a day so I could do some timing tests. (Same copy of local.txt was used.) |

I think this may be a bug, not sure.
I installed v26.6-linux64 on a Dell PowerEdge SC1430 which has two Intel Xeon 5148 processors. This is a 65nm Core 2 Duo based processor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...22_.2865_nm.29 It decided to set it up as if it had HTT. 2 workers with 2 threads each. I was able to fix it easily, but I still find it odd it would do that. |

Noticed this line in the computer properties page.
"Speed 2.327 GHz (2.327 GHz P4 effective equivalent)" Makes me believe primenet also thinks its NetBurst. |

Somewhat dumb question, may be out of place...where's the build instructions for ./mprime r26.6...
The usual makefile isn't present, I must have missed something! Do I need to follow the instructions in the "linux" makefile first about libcurl? |

While I'm at this, where is a good information source on how events (as used in gwthread) work?
and where does P95 like to get his libcurl sources? I have libcurl3 that came with the install on my xubuntu box.... |

Last week i installed a new CPU and now the software says this about my configuration:
AMD Athlon 7550 Dual-Core Windows,v26.6,build 37.387GHz However i only have around 2500GHz. Do you know this bug or is it new for you? Last fiddled with by Kai.s0r on 2011-06-30 at 21:05 |
