Default Windows XP refuses to start Prime95

Anyone else having a problem to start Prime95 under Windows XP?

I just upgraded to XP and I installed prime95 again, but it always gives an error if i try to run it. XP just asks if i would like to send a report to microsoft bla bla bla.

Any ideas to solve this?

XP wants to send an error to microsoft any time that ANY program has a fatal error and crashes. Sounds to me that P95 is having trouble with something specific in your setup, however I doubt it's a problem with Windows. Try reinstalling P95 (after uninstalling it) and see what happens if you fiddle around with the settings...

Which you, of course, can switch off.

Right click my computer => properties => advanced => error reporting
