22.12 seems to ignore proxy settings?

OK, I figure I have got something wrong here, but I can't see what it is:

Prime.ini
[PrimeNet Proxy]
ProxyHost=http://sprproxy.southpacific.corp:80

(I also tried adding ProxyUser and ProxyPass, but we don't need proxy authentication on our site)

As soon as I start the client, I get a 2250. A network trace shows name requests for MERSENNE.ORG, so it looks like the proxy settings are being ignored.

Any suggestion what I did wrong?

Try putting those settings in a file called primenet.ini
