@Max: Please change the title for the condensed table: it says "Short table of all conjectures for bases ≤ 1030" but there're only tested bases and not all! Done on my side. There's a double "</tr>" after S483 again! Last fiddled with by kar_bon on 2010-09-09 at 22:45 |

OK, Max, 3 groups of changes are needed to your pages:
1. The title on your condensed scripted page needs to change to bases <= 1030. Oddly, lower down in the page, it shows <= 1030. 2. The word "all" needs to be removed from multiple places throughout the page plus in the link on the home page that takes you to the condensed page. 3. Remove the link to Karsten's page that is frequently not up to date and its related verbiage on the condensed scripted page. He will keep it for himself. Karsten, I've removed the duplicate </tr>. Cool thanks.
But I've now decided to extend the project to base 1040. In a month I might make it base 1050. ![]()

Or, make a file with a table of dates and the max. base number and read those in creating the CRUS tab, consider the current date of creation in the script and decide the value to fill in next! Another possibility: Link the max-base number to Gary's email-address and everyone can ask him directly, which value is current! More suggestions?

Maybe extend the bases to 1M now so we don't have to extend again in our lifetime.
I can just hear people now: "Reserving Riesel base 987654 and Sierp base 123456 to n=25K".

The Sierpinski side looks broken. After S560 it inserts bases none through S565 all but the base 2 links are white. S566 and on looks normal.

It's Karsten's table with the problem. Must have bad HTML somewhere.

Would it make sense to split the Riesel and Sierpinski sections of CRUS_tab.htm into separate pages? It would be easier to compare them side by side.
I see that one difference between the two searches is that there is the "Sierpinski 2nd conjecture" aka "Prime Sierpinski Conjecture". Is there such a number on the Riesel side? |
