Warning of "possible hardware errors"

I have just finished doing a double check. I have the message “Computer hardware check recommended. Possible hardware errors occured during LL test of M24961019”.

What sort of errors should I be looking for? I run several other programs, including Excel and IE, and AFAIK none of them give me any trouble.

Try the prime95 torture test(s). I've found one of my linux boxes is bad via the mprime version tests. In fact, now I run some of the tests when I resurrect a machine. I'm not sure how detailed the results might be in your case, but you could verify good/bad and go from there.

For what it's worth, your result for M24961019 successfully completed the double-check (i.e., the residue matched the initial LL).

I tried it and the machine became almost completely unresponsive. So to give it a fair test it will have to be done during a weekday when I’m at work.

Where are the results stored? It was running for about 30 minutes, and a lot of that was waiting for the keyboard to respond. Was that long enough for anything to be generated?

I'm more familiar with mprime (linux) than prime95. For mprime, the results are in the current directory. It's possible the results only appear in the program window by default for prime95. In mprime, it did take a while to produce results.

If I get a chance, I'll look more into the prime95 version, but that might not be right away.
