Seeking a proof that 5^7954+7954 is prime - Page 5

Degree 60 is rare at this size. Definite its done in the next 8-12h.

5^7954+7954 is prime! Certified in 791 hours. 636.5 hours in the first phase, 154.5 hours in the second phase.

I'm verifying it now on two PCs (a Core 2 Duo CPU and an i7 CPU), both running Windows Vista 64 bit, both with Primo 3.0.9.

Perhaps someone with an AMD Linux system could verify it with another program to make super duper sure it's correct.

Both verifications reported the certificate was valid as expected.

Indeed, but both verifications were done in the same version of Primo, on the same operating system, with similar architecture CPUs, hence for absolute certainty (or as close to it as we're ever going to get) if anyone has another OS/CPU/program combo they'd like to validate it on, please feel free.

I have written my own Primo Certificate Verifier with C and GMP. I'm running a Windows XP 64-bit OS, I have dual Xeon 5335's, and 4GB of ram. My program is still a bit slower than Primo, but it just finished verifying this number as Prime in just over 16 hours.

Nice. Are you also working on an ECPP prover in C and GMP?

Even just the verifier will be useful for people who don't want to run it on Windows. Any plans on publishing your source code?
