5^7954+7954 is prime! Certified in 791 hours. 636.5 hours in the first phase, 154.5 hours in the second phase.
I'm verifying it now on two PCs (a Core 2 Duo CPU and an i7 CPU), both running Windows Vista 64 bit, both with Primo 3.0.9. Perhaps someone with an AMD Linux system could verify it with another program to make super duper sure it's correct. I can't actually upload it to the forum since it's too big (1.81 MB zipped), so it's here: http://2721.hddkillers.com/5^7954+7954.zip Last fiddled with by lavalamp on 2010-10-14 at 07:11 Reason: Linkified the URL, wasn't done automatically for some reason. |

Indeed, but both verifications were done in the same version of Primo, on the same operating system, with similar architecture CPUs, hence for absolute certainty (or as close to it as we're ever going to get) if anyone has another OS/CPU/program combo they'd like to validate it on, please feel free.

Even just the verifier will be useful for people who don't want to run it on Windows. Any plans on publishing your source code? |
