RTHome,
To add to what Karsten (kar_bon) said, there is a link to a manual file in the 1st post of almost all of our drives that allows you to do manual work like you are doing now. Take a look at the 1st post of a few drives and see if you have any questions about it. The main thing to be aware of on others drives except for this one is that the manual files are very big to reduce the administrative effort involved in posting them. Most of the time people will just "cut" part of the range out of them, which is our intention. Gary |

Well, great info all around. I'll wrap up my current tasks at prime95 first and you can expect to see more of me in a few weeks.
In the meantime the assignment for 554k - 555k finished. No primes. I added the 4 result files. Let me know if I missed any files which are required. |

A couple more non-top-5000 primes Sloth has piled up over the last couple of days:

Max,
Can you load n=553K-554K into port **** for Sloth? I'll show it reserved in the 1st post and will post some more files later today. He has a lot of machines on n=542K-550K, is at n=548K as I write this, and so I don't want it to dry out. Also, the 5000th prime is at n=~552.8K now. Sloth, If n=553K-554K is not a range that you want to do, let me know and I'll put a machine on it. If you'd like to continue with it and then even higher, we can also load n=555K-560K into port ****. Thanks, Gary Last fiddled with by mdettweiler on 2010-10-02 at 10:53 Reason: blank port # (remember, Gary? :-)) |

Since the agreement was to "refill as necessary" we should be clear to reserve 555K-560K as well. (Figured I'd better get that in before you post more files so I'm not wasting your time.)

Leave it at 560 for now. That will give me about a week. The server I am testing now will end up going off line shortly. I also want to move stuff back over to PSP. 560 should keep you close to the top 5000 for a little while.

Another non-top-5000 prime for Sloth:
3113*2^549324-1 Meanwhile, the leading edge of his PRPnet server is at n=553138 right now. The top-5000 threshold is at n=553159. So any primes found after a few hours from now should be top-5000-worthy.
