Yowzers! Another one that fast? Talk about beating the odds!

Gee, maybe you'll find a prime for k=36772 as well below 750K? Then we'll only have to worry about k=1597 (which will be a chore to finish off in and of itself).

Need to check with pfgw.
Note: I see that this has now been submitted to the top-5000, so I'm guessing it's safe to assume that the check with PFGW has been completed. I'll edit the first post accordingly.

Unbelievable! When you look at how close the last 4 primes are clustered, it does defy belief!

Congratulations again!

ASTOUNDING is all that I can say!! Congrats again Dimtry! As Phil said, this defies belief. We now have a reasonable chance of proving R6 within the next 1-2 years. But with only 2 k's remaining and the way things are going, we may just prove it by the end of the year.

This is the 50th top-5000 prime for CRUS. A nice round number for an unbelievable run of R6 primes.

This also removes k=43994 from R36, which now has 84 k's remaining. :-)

In a little while, I'll post the file for k=36772 for n=750K-1M, since no more sieving will be needed. It is the only k left to search to n=1M! k=1597 has already been searched. If we eliminate k=36772 by n=1M, this base will unbelievably go in our 1k remaining thread with a conjecture about 10 times higher than any other 1k base!

Would anyone like to get a sieving drive started for n=1M-2M? Although sieving the 2 k's together using sr2sieve should be about as fast as sieving them separately using sr1sieve, I think sieving them separately would be better because they will have much different optimum sieve depths. From the beginning of this drive, k=1597 has been by far the lowest weight k. The weight of the final 2 k's now remaining is:
k=1597: 272
k=36772: 583

Edit by Max: Response to sieving drive content moved to new sieving drive thread.

Per Dmitri's attached results file in post 274, he is now complete to n=600K.

I'll take 750-780K.

Dmitry,

Can you provide a status on k=36772 for n=600K-750K?

I'm somewhat holding off promoting the sieving drive for n=1M-2M for the 2 remaining k's until we get that one a little closer to n=1M so I'll be a little more interested than usual in getting statuses from people at least every 3-4 weeks.

Although everyone is welcome to work on the sieving drive now, likely near n=~850K, I'll promote it more and put some cores on it myself. It's currently at P=70T and I'm confident that we'll need to sieve to P>250T.

Done with 750-780K. Reserving 780-810K.

It looks like through 785K was done so I'll show it as that in the 1st post.
