HAH! I'm self employed and have very high deductible health insurance to minimize long-term overall health costs. They don't need to know every activity that I do. :-) Besides, it's a mundane river that I will be taking my 17 & 15 year old kids on plus a couple of their friends. ...not much more risky than hiking or camping in the mountains. |

As you can see in the 'Countdown meter'-thread we need a bit more than 3000 pairs per day to reach the goal (completion end of year for drive #5).
So it's a good idea to rally for a week! |

Worth avoiding 25th-26th July as that's the next PrimeGrid challenge.

Gary, you mentioned over in the CRUS Sierp. base 22 thread that you'll be leaving on another trip (albeit with internet access) Wednesday and returning the next Thursday. Do you still think we should go ahead with the August 6-13 weeklong rally as planned? Or should we reschedule for the next week? You'll be getting back just one day before the rally which while doable, may be a little hectic on your end.

Let's delay it 2 weeks to Aug. 20-27. I'd like several days to promote it more than 10 days before it starts. |

Okay, sounds good. Come to think of it, I as well will be leaving town for a few days sometime in the first couple weeks of August, so delaying it to start the end of the third week will make sure we're well clear of that.

Hmm, thanks for the heads-up. Gary, how about we move ours up a week, to August 13-20, to avoid conflicting with PrimeGrid's rally? It will be cutting it a little close (in fact, they'll overlap by 1 hour: ours ends at 19:00 GMT while PrimeGrid's starts at 18:00). However, as we discussed, moving it up another week would definitely not work.
The only other choice is to move it down a week to August 27-September 3, but I'm a little reluctant to delay it that far after we've gone so long without a rally. Lennart, do you think people would mind if the NPLB and PrimeGrid rallies overlapped by an hour? We don't want to force people to choose one rally over the other (as that would not be beneficial for either project's rally participation), but perhaps just one hour wouldn't be too big a deal. |
