Have anyone seen this: https://sourceforge.net/projects/asciimathml/ ?
It lets you type Tex formulas, and it parses it to MathML, so the server doesnt need to do anything, it would be cool to have it in the forum too

This is such a useful reference for teX anti-talents like myself - by making this thread sticky it is easily referenced and available to newcomers.
Thanks in anticipation |

We recompiled Mimetex today to take advantage of some new features. We have no idea what these features are, but you can read about them here:
http://www.forkosh.com/mimetexchangelog.html Our version was very old. We've also enabled caching again. |

All by using the mimetex math renderer only
Beautiful matrices Please have a look up at the recently rendered up expressions at HERE They are all wonderful magic squares, generated up, only by now itself. Right? Lovely man! Indeed, Really. Last fiddled with by Raman on 2009-12-23 at 21:22 Reason: To fix up the link locations, only, by now itself |

Would it be possible to vertically center the inline images of the TeX snippets? Compare
; the smilie fits nice.

We have attempted to adjust the style sheet to accommodate your request.
Most likely we have broken something critical somewhere. Maybe if you see a whacked out math formula image let us know? |

Something to do instead that works in both Chrome and Firefox (and should work anywhere) is to make it align like the smilies are made to align: use the "inlineimg" class to the img tag, which adds the "vertical-align: middle;" style. Last fiddled with by Mini-Geek on 2010-06-17 at 14:07 |

In Safari 4.0.5, the renderings are bottom-aligned as before, and do not lose height information. Hence no visible change. Quote:
