You said about a month ago that you were at n=23K on it. If you aren't done with it yet, can you post an interim status report on it with primes found and a search limit up to n=15K or 20K?

For bases with a lot of k's remaining, I like exactly what vmod did here. Posting an update with attached primes and a search limit every month or so or at nice round search limits along the way helps me spread out the admin effort a little and lets us know that people are still working on their reservations.

I also like what Cruelty does on base 10 and all of his efforts here, at NPLB, and RPS. He reports a status on the last day of every month, regardless of the progress made. Personally, I just report them when they hit nice round search limits.

Thanks,
Gary
Actually, right now I'm at n=24791--according to my calculations, it will finish to 25K in about 2 days.

Agreed, in the future I'll try to report a little more often on bases like this...when I first reserved S39 I severely underestimated the amount of time it would take and thought it would be done in a month or so. As it turns out, it took much, much longer. (Of course, about two months or so of that time since I initially reserved it was actually idle time because other work came up that took precedence over it, but it still took quite a while.)

Ah, very good. Thanks. It's nice to know that that one is about done. I know what you mean on the bases with lots of k's. It's real easy to bite off more than you care to.

BTW, what did you run that on? I thought your core duo and quad were pretty much filled up.

I ran it on one core of my dualcore. For the last month or so that box has been divided up with one core on S39 and the other slowly making its way through the S6 drive; during that time my quad has been doing S9 in collaboration with you or, more recently, the one k I have reserved on R2 odd-n.

Actually, when I first reserved S39 I was intending to run it on my quad through my private PRPnet server. However, at the time I didn't have the scripts available that I do now for processing conjecture results, so an effort like this with gazillions of primed k's stopped midway was not something I wanted to do via a server; therefore I did it manually with PFGW on my dualcore instead.

Default Riesel Base 35

Here are 124 new primes for 15k<n<20k since last update.
I've included the updated R35-reservations page, too.
841 k-values remain.

Added R70 3 k's to the recommended base list for n=25K-100K reserved by Willem.

Willem, do you have a status on R70? It was reserved in mid-January.

It's on my home PC which is not running too much. The count has reached n = 80,000.

Regards, Willem.

S39 is done (finally!) to n=25K. I found 182 primes in the n=10K-25K range; the primes are attached here, and the results will be emailed to Gary. Releasing this base.

Interestingly enough, the very last test in the range, 151746*39^25000+1, turned out to be prime. Quite a nice way to finish off a very large range like this, hmm?

Mathew reported in an Email that R46 is at n=43K. No primes to report.
