It uses an older version of LLR and has not been updated. I would recommend PRPNet for home use. You can use the latest LLR and PFGW with it.

Note that the current version (3.2.1) has a bug where all work is run through PFGW. Normally, bases that are a power of 2 will be sent to LLR instead, since it's faster for those. A workaround is to comment line 234 of Work.cpp and rebuild the client. Last fiddled with by Mini-Geek on 2010-03-10 at 21:01 |

http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/
Specifically: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/ (this is where you download MySQL) http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/ (and this is where you get the ODBC driver that PRPNet uses) |

Cedrick,
If you are more familiar with LLRnet, if you are running base 2, I would now suggest the new LLRnet that uses LLR 3.8. It was conceived of by Karsten Bonath and fully developed/tested by 3 of the NPLB admins. Clients now runs at the full speed of LLR 3.8 and so it is no longer "klunky" like it used to be. See this thread for all needed info. Gary

Karsten,
With over the net I mean: Over the internet: e.g. configure my pc @home with dyndns, then I have to test it that I can access remotely. |
