I have re-stickied our software/instructions/questions thread here. I have done some updating to the instructions to take into account software and process improvements since the project started.
Many of our newer searchers may find the info. useful.

I have some exciting news for CRUS. We now have a fully automated PFGW script for starting new bases. See the "starting new bases" thread.
It's now so easy to start a new base, a caveman can do it. ![]() Gary |

Over the next few hours, I will be splitting up the bases > 32 reservations/statuses thread into bases 33-100, 101-250, 251-500, and 501-1024. If you need to post a reservation or status and see the new separate thread for it, go ahead and post it there. If not, you can post it in the bases > 32 as usual.
What will be time-consuming will be splitting apart individual posts that pertain to bases that will reside in more than one thread. Edit: This is nearly complete. Posts were split apart and edited as needed so that what remained in them only pertained to the bases where the posts resided. All that remains is a little more splitting of a few remaining posts that needs to be done. Gary Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2010-01-18 at 15:21 Reason: edit |

Splitting of the bases > 32 thread into 4 separate thread is now fully complete. When splitting posts, I attempted to keep everything in the context of ongoing discussions as much as possible but don't be surprised if you see a couple of them here-and-there that look a little unusual.
If you are working on bases of widely varying size, it will take a little getting used to to post statuses and primes into separate threads but this should make things a lot clearer and easier to follow in the long run. |

The noprimeleftbehind pages have gone offline possibly for an extended period. We are working to get the problem resolved.

To all CRUS folks:
I am in the process of putting the CRUS web pages and file links onto a temporary no-IP website. I should have everything online sometime by late Saturday. All links to sieved files in drives will be changed. More permanent links such as those in the "Come join us" thread will have a temporary edit below them with links to the temporary no-IP pages. In the mean time, rest assued that all of your efforts are still being reflected and updated in .html files on one of my machines and are backed up to a flash drive quite frequently. I am still keeping the 1k thread as well as the untested Riesel and Sierp conjectures threads up to date. Our apologies for the inconvience that this has caused. Sincerely, Gary Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2010-02-26 at 23:12 |

I'm happy to report that the noprimeleftbehind pages are now back online. This means all CRUS web pages and file links should be working. The pages should also be completely up to date per all status reports received as of this posting.
We're still in a state of flux but as far as I can tell, anything remaining that could still be affected would be on the NPLB project. If you see any dead file links on the pages or in the threads here, please let me know. Enjoy! ![]() Gary |

when I click on the link http://www.noprimeleftbehind.net/crus/ I get an index page, with all the files in this directory. Think, this is not correct? |

I've now finished updating the web pages as of this posting. Also updated were the 1k and untested Riesel and Sierp conjecture threads.
There was a huge amount of work done in the last 5 days reported both in the threads here and in Emails. If you can check your reservations, statuses, completions, and primes and let me know if their are any problems, that would be helpful. Thanks. Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2010-03-09 at 08:51 |
