No news yet. Dave, how are things coming on that front? Also, what about the doublecheck database--any progress with that?

Question:
Where did http://www.noprimeleftbehind.net/ go? When I clicked on my bookmark today it took me to a page that says: Error connecting to database |

Hmm...I don't think Dave actually took the DB offline yet. I'll ask him.

Migration not in progress yet.
There should be no database outage during the migration anyway. That was an unplanned outage. I investigated and found the database service was stopped. I restarted it and it appears to be ok. Thanks for the heads-up Max. |

I'm not sure where to post this question so if the Mods want to move it feel free.
I am trying to run the old LLRnet on a C2D 6300 on Windows XP SP3 32-bit. The applications runs OK but there is an unusual issue with the GUI. I asked AMDave about it previously but we didn't resolve it. When I have the two instances running (separate sub-directories named C:\NPLB and C:\NPLB1) the program starts to run. I then right click on the icon in the Systemtray, the one with 4 vertical lines. If I right click on the left hand icon I see a drop-down window and the second line from the top in this list says New GUI window. Now normally, ie on my other computers, the GUI opens and I can add the various cores and see the numbers being crunched. However, on this 6300 the GUI window doesn't open. Now until today this wasn't that important as I could select the other core's icon and the GUI window would open. Not today. Now neither icon triggers the GUI window. If I select the third line down Open a console I get a "DOS" box and see this message: C:\NPLB\gui.lua:759: bad argument #1 to 'getn' (table expected, got nil) and similarly for the C:\NPLB1 sub-directory client. Help please. Last fiddled with by vaughan on 2010-08-14 at 10:21 Reason: typo |

If that still doesn't fix it, then the problem is with the computer, not the client. I don't expect this will be the case since it's a pretty standard Windows XP setup (not 9x or anything wacky like that). |
