Hmmm, that sounds suspicious. I seem to remember someone else claiming they were on holiday hiking in the mountains around there when they were actually flying off to Argentina to meet a mistress. Call the press!

Smile Sort of...

They're kind of only the highest peaks east of the Mississippi River. The highest point in N. C. is almost 6700 feet up. It's amazing what a large east-west axis will do for the topography of a state; you get a little bit of everything.
