Default Spacing problem

Whenever I try to edit this post, the space at the start of this line:

Code:
 10212 Andi47 2103 123 2 * 3^2

disappears in the edit box, and I have to put it back in. Is this some very odd software glitch?

it would be nice to be able to easily make a table without manually spacing

The way I did it, was to keep a copy of the table locally, edit it here, then upload it to the forum. I also found that the QUOTE tags ignore spacing (dropping everything to a single space); that's why I kept the table as a CODE block....
