beginner 5sec
intermediate about 34, iirc expert 98 I estimate this was about 5 years ago. Then I wrote an automatic solver in Pascal, so I would never have to play again ;). |

There are cheat codes, too.
If you start Minesweeper and then start clicking up on any square. Press the "Windows key + D" as a shortcut key to show up the desktop. Then, restore back minesweeper from the taskbar to see the timer that is being stopped up. Before starting up a game of Minesweeper: Press "Xyzzy" then Shift+Enter, Enter. If you have a black background, you can clearly see a one pixel square at the top left turned on. If that square is white, then that is safe. If it turns up to be black, then that square has a mine within it up. There are cheat codes for the games of the Hearts & Pinball, too. For hearts, you can see up the opponents cards also! Go to Run and then run "regedit" Go to H_KEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Windows Current Version Applets Hearts Edit -> New String Value String: ZB, Value: 42 While playing hearts, click up, Shift+Ctrl+Alt+F12 to see so your opponent's cards at any time, thus. Pinball: After starting it up: Type "hidden test" to operate the ball with the mouse H -> High score of 1 billion R -> Next rank M -> Message box with the memory that is being used up by the program Before launching the ball itself: 1max -> Extra ball bmax -> Unlimited balls, when the ball is drained: immediately the new ball comes up from the yellow wormhole gmax -> Gravity well rmax -> Go up to the next rank Try it out! Enjoy up, please, just simply, all the way, at once, that way |

Expert minesweeper 132 seconds.
Try it without flagging the mines. I found the hexagonal variant disappointing. I had a winning streak of over 200 games of Freecell. If you have played it, you may appreciate the mental discipline this involved, and the sense of relief I felt when I screwed up

In the UK, this is the game performed on Raman's avatar.
We call the card games "Patience". BTW the only allowable move in Solitaire is the Draughts (Checkers if you insist) manouvre of jumping over a piece and removing it. |

My best Minesweeper scores:
Beginner - 9 Intermediate - 55 Expert - 210 (this one's old, I could probably beat it if I played Expert long enough to actually finish one instead of being stuck on a guess and guessing wrong) |
