Just thought I'd post that the server has finished it's workload.

I think something went haywire with the scoring.

I did find one issue with stats, but don't know if it related to the issue you are seeing. I'll put a patch together later this week.

Hi all,
I've upgraded the G2000 server to the recently-released PRPnet v2.1.2. This fixes a number of issues present in 2.0.4, including Ctrl-C handling on Windows. The first post of this thread has been updated to include links to the new version, which also includes the latest version of the Phrot binary (0.70). To upgrade from an existing 2.0.4 client, follow these step: -Download the 2.1.2 package for your operating system. -Stop the 2.0.4 client, if it's currently running. -Extract all files in the package *except* prpclient.ini to your existing PRPnet directory. The prpclient.ini file has not changed since v2.0.4. -Restart the client. Pretty simple. ![]() While upgrading the server to 2.1.2, I loaded it up with k=300-400, n=260K-300K doublecheck work as previously discussed. Gary, I know the original plan was to do all of k=300-1001 for this, but I only have the 260K-300K sieve file for k=300-400; my copy of the k=400-1001 sieve file starts at 300K. If you could send that to me as soon as you get the chance, it would be greatly appreciated. (Though, in the meantime, k=300-400 will be more than plenty for testing the server.)Any CPU time you guys would be willing to contribute to the new work in the server would be greatly appreciated. Please report any bugs or issues you encounter in this thread. We will be comparing residuals with the original first-pass tests as we go along; if things can work OK for at least a couple of weeks without issue, then we'll try loading some very small candidates into the server and putting a bunch of cores on it as a "stress test". If it passes that, then we'll have certified PRPnet as a stable and robust program and can start doing "live" first-pass work on it. ![]() Max

Is there a way to turn off the verbose scrolling percentage done output?
I don't have verbose line added to the .ini's and i don't get it when I run PRPNet for pgllr.mine so I am thinking it's something on the server side. Thanks for any suggestions. |

I've found that increasing the width of the command window to 87 characters solves the problem--that's the maximum width it will grow to at any point during a test of numbers of the size that are currently loaded in the server. |

Hi all,
I am pleased to announce that results from the G2000 PRPnet server are now being included in our stats database at http://www.noprimeleftbehind.net. Just like with an LLRnet server, you can now see G2000 on the Progress Report table, and the results count towards your stats totals.Meanwhile, PRPnet v2.1.5 was released a few days ago, and though I haven't gotten the chance to update the server from 2.1.4, I'll be doing that sometime soon. I will also be posting client binaries for 2.1.5, as some new features were added to the client, including the ability to set a default startup/shutdown behavior which overrides the respective menus. hmmm..... hourly results for G2000 don't seem to be updating on the "progress" stats page.
I'm putting some systems on the test server. Where are you in the testing phase now? I'm only running the linux client stuff, but I have it on a combination of OpenSuse-64, Mepis-64, and Slackware-32 systems. All systems are multi-core. Last fiddled with by Brucifer on 2009-05-18 at 00:08 |
