Seems to be working well so far. Though it seems sensitive to overclocking. Bumped my Q6600 from 2.4GHz -> 2.6GHz, it gave me a possible hardware failure error and refused to start crunching. Went back to stock, works perfectly.
After those issues, it seems to have skipped 2 numbers to test since I have 2 ''z_____' files. |

Brian, did you ever get that problem fixed where your candidates file was so big that the server took and hour to crank up? I tested PRP Server also. I tested it with 2 know primes but I didn't get any emails to myself. Guess I'll have to look into what went wrong. Last fiddled with by MyDogBuster on 2009-04-28 at 08:55 |

Hmm...actually, I could have sworn that Mark said the proxy feature was disabled in the latest release since it didn't work at all. Mark, is the feature still in the client, or is it just a "ghost" section of the prpclient.ini file?

You're not being clear enough for me. I don't know what you mean by "proxy feature". What section in the ini file are you referring to?

Proxy is a function the server can perform in LLRNET.
Apparently it can crash an LLRNET server, although personally i never observed or believed that. Does PRPNET have that ability. if so does it function and is it safe to use ? As to the emailing on prime. Still not working for me. The long start up issue with a big candidates file is gone

I am making a bit more progress on the mail issue.
Back to testing. |

I need to stop it asking the server to auth login.
[2009-04-28 18:12:42 GMT] socket 372 >>>> AUTH LOGIN [2009-04-28 18:12:42 GMT] socket 372 <<<< 504 LOGIN authentication mechanism not supported [2009-04-28 18:12:42 GMT] SMTP server error. Sent 'AUTH LOGIN', expected 334, got 504 My mail server doesn't require auth and will forward if you come from the right IP range. |
