So we have to do a new prover account proof code for nplb? Just to make sure I understand you correctly?

As for entering new proof codes, that only applies to new people who have not searched for us previously. Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2009-04-22 at 07:43 |

It is now official: Our project name at the top-5000 site is:
No Prime Left Behind (formerly PrimeSearch) See our listing in the rank of projects at http://primes.utm.edu/bios/top20.php...&by=PrimesRank. Hooray! ![]() The Username and the name in proof codes have also been changed to NPLB. This should be virtually seamless and will have no impact on people who have already set up proof codes for our project. For new people creating a new proof code for primes, on the proof code page, after selecting Jean Penne's LLR under the software section, in the box that says "None" towards the bottom, you should enter: NPLB, srsieve There must be a comma in between and I believe it is case specific. I have also edited our project description slightly to more specifically recognize the contribution that the original PrimeSearch project made, the # of top-5000 primes still remaining from its existence, and when NPLB started. See the new description at http://primes.utm.edu/bios/page.php?id=518. Max, I am now in the process of changing the prime submission instructions on all of our applicable primes threads posts. If you have copied any of those over to the new forum, please make the same change. Gary

I have a prime to enter from my independent search so I'll be the guinea pig to see if everything still works. Edited: Happy to report that everything works just fine. Last fiddled with by MyDogBuster on 2009-04-23 at 00:49 |

Due to the huge # of stickies that scroll off the bottom of the page on most monitors, I am unsticking the following threads:
The sieving drive since all ranges have been handed out. The help needed on ports IB4000 and 5000. Most everyone should have had a chance to read that one now. Later on I'll delete it. The join a team. I think that most new members have now stated a team preference. At the end of 3 days from posting or when the prime is reported, I'll delete the MrOzzy report a prime thread. The bottom of the stickies still seems to scroll off the bottom much of the time but it's not so bad now. If anyone feels strongly that any of these threads should remain stickied, let me know. OUSTANDING!! That's music to my ears. An excellent achievement for the project.
The goal when we started k=1003-2000 was to clean up that area. Consider it officially "clean" now. ![]() I'll follow up with Peter Benson to see if he has completed k=1005-1400 up to n=600K yet. It appears that he may be. Regardless, that area is "clean" also with all ranges officially filled in up to n=500K. Karsten: Your next task: Update all k=400-1001 up to n=680K or 690K. :-) The next major task for NPLB is to clean up k=2000-3400, which has now become quite messy. Thank you for the update Peter. Just out of curiosity, do you do them 15 k's at a time or something like that? I noticed some that you're close to 700K on so it just made me wonder.
