Excellent. Speedy machines! The main thing that we will like to point out is the project name. If a test fails as a result of being overclocked too much or as a result of bad memory or other problem, it will miss finding a prime. We definitely don't want to leave any primes behind. As Max (mdettweiler) said, most of the time, we won't be able to tell that it has failed without a double-check.

50 C. Wow; and I used to struggle to keep my non-overclocked machines at < 70 C. Most are 60-66 C now. Water cooling obviously helps yours greatly.

I was wondering if the shorter tests might be appealing to some of your group. You think those are short, you should ask David about some of our initial tests on our port 9000. The smaller tests were running in under 2 secs.! It was a tremendous workout for his servers to hand out literally 100+ WUs per second but it passed with flying colors! We knew we had good servers when it passed that "stress" test. Of course, they weren't top-5000 tests. They were only ranges that needed to be filled in below top-5000 ranges.

Svenie25 and flyingfox, did you want to be listed on a Team?
How about you gamer007? You can start your own team if you want, or join an existing one.

Oh right. I never posted here. Haha.

I'm listed under AMD Users. I stayed quiet during my entry to the project since Dave did it for me. (Thanks again! )

I switched over from the port8000 to port5000 and now there about 350-375 secs. Thats still nice and short.
Anything that takes less than an hour will do great for our team so I don't see any problem with the work unit length.

You probably won't find anything here that takes longer than 30 minutes. Even our longest test only takes about 20 minutes on my Q6600 2.4ghz quads. We won't get into longer tests for a year or so and even then, they probably will still be less than a hour. Ya might want to stay on 5000 for a while. It's long overdue for a nice juicy prime.

Come join up with team [H]ard|OCP
Team [H]ard|OCP is one of the top distributed computing teams and by far the largest team in the world with a first class website and forum.
The [H]ard DC Commandos crunch all distributed computing projects and we have lots of great fun with team challenges and user races.
The [H]ard|Forum is full of expert old timers with sections on Hardware, Software, Overclocking, Gaming, Distributed Computing and Real Life Stuff like in the General Mayhem sub forum where anything goes. We are great bunch of people who love to have fun, ask questions and help others.
The main [H]ard|OCP website has tons of up to date [H]ard|ware reviews and technology news [H]eadlines. (one the most respected computer related web sites anywhere)

Come help us mow the other teams down!

AMD Users wants you!

We like the Enigma of and nature trips regardless of the Seasonal Attribution (it's the 'green' thing, you see? )

All the rest are

What is "Ni" anyway, but half of the word "nine"
Half of nine is 4.5 and that isn't fun!

Don't worry about the others, they are just

We wish we could race Hydrogen powered rockets around stars that SETI hasn't checked yet
We like Prime roast beef and warm cottage PI on winter days that Climate Prediction didn't see coming

I could go on, so I will

Afterwards when we have finished folding our proteins and custard Lattice into our mouths and had too much BelgianBeer (or any other uFluids, for that matter) around the campfire, we are not ashamed to have a RALPH and a good laugh and lay back and fall asleep under the Cosmology watching the MilkyWay roll by!

BURP! Excuse me ;)

You will always be welcome at AMD Users

You don't have to have the Neurons of Einstiein to figure out who's the most fun.

It is your GeneticLife and no-one should be MindModeling your decisions for you in this Intelligence Realm.

At AMD Users, we encourage an Open Rendering Environment.

We can help you to find your place in the World Community Grid on the Virtual Prarie

Go on. Have a go!

You can do it.
It is as easy as ABC.

_________
Now THAT was FUN!
