laptops might be an exception with heat causing trouble
on pcs if running the cpu fully recks your HD then your case fans aren't good enough

I am paying the equiv of $0.090/kwh plus an addtional $0.025/kwh to make it all green power, plus sundry fees and texas.

Okay if your truly paying over 30 or 40 cents per kw send me your farms and 18 dollars per month per comp during the winter. Ill save you money and heat my house for free.

In fact Mersenne prime hunting has a long and honorable history of testing that your computer is operating correctly dating back to mainframe days. If your computer can't handle prime95 then you should suspect all the other results you get from your computer too.

btw 20mb is kinda small, try 200mb for better testing.
