OK, give me a few hours and I'll send it over. I'm knee deep in updating CRUS web pages right now.
Max, there's no way I would have to move all of my quads here for us to finish by the 20th. I'm thinking we can get it 60-75% done without any help from me. Remember we effectively are doing 50 k's in < 2 days, which means < 20 days for all 500 k's. That's where I'm getting the rough estimate of 60-75% done by the 20th (13 days) without any help from me. I want to do some more exact calculations after the HUGE file is loaded into the server. If necessary, I'll move 1-3 quads over. I doubt it'll be necessary to move more than 3. This is kind of nuts but it's funny! ![]() Gary |

No problem, was busy fixing a rollover script, hopefully for the last time.
We completed 116330 pairs yesterday!

Port 9000 has 2820526 remaining knpairs!
knpairs.txt - Size: 35310390 Last Updated: 1/8/2009 1:57:29 AM first k/n pair 1013 148714 last k/n pair That last k/n pair is not shown, probably because the file is so big, but, no one should be looking at the copy of knpairs.txt while it is so big right? ;) I'll take a look at it tomorrow, if it has not fixed itself by then. Edit: stopped the server, edited knpairs.txt to remove the last line of the file that contained just a ^Z character ![]() Back up and running full tilt. Oops, my bad there. I had the files all nice and separated into 100k files but when we decided to run it as all one big file, I went to the DOS prompt and executed a single copy command to bring them all back into one file. But for some reason, DOS always wants to put an invalid character at the end of the file when copying many files into one file. That's stupid Windows for you again! Edit: Oops, I forgot: I'm officially reserving k=1201-1999 for n=50K-200K for port 9000. I also changed the wording in the 1st post to show that we won't be doing manual files for this n-range but likely will for the n=200K-350K range. Added a quad to the fun. I will likely add 3 more cores later today.
![]() Max, it might be best to go ahead and process the results in ranges of 100k (actually ~50 k's), i.e. k=1005-1100, 1100-1200, etc. As soon as you see that the first k/n pair is k>=1101, then you can go ahead with it. As soon as I can after getting the file from you, I'll start compiling a list of primes and finders. THAT should be interesting! lol Gary |
