This one was already reported with a lower prime at 27752

Cheers, Micha

Gee... I left this post open too long before I noticed the PS above :)

I just delete the first prime from the sieve 35.5-37 file and srfile says that 400 sequences are left. ???

Maybe you missed a few k's? It's been somewhat zooey lately with these very prime-dense ranges, and thus somewhat easy to not notice a few primes here and there.

27556870*3^35403-1
59149054*3^35500-1
are confirmed prime.

32-34 and 34-35.5 both finished.
Who do I email the results to? (Too big to post here.)

I meant that the files I just downloaded had 401 sequences, not 383 as stated in the first post. Not a problem. I'm running them as they are, there is too much chance of me making a mistake deleting that many sequences from two files. (And I can't be bothered.)

I think Gary is looking for the lowest prime for each k and you are working lower than me so ... ?

After the two ranges I am working on I will wait for the lower ranges to finish before reserving more files.

Chris
The discrepancy between the 383 sequences as stated in the first post, and the 401 sequences in the file, is due to the fact that though the 383 count is updated whenever either Gary or I get the chance to edit the first post, whereas (due to the sheer number of primes being found at this point) the files only have the new primes removed every day or two. So, hence the discrepancy.

As for where to send the results files: you can send those to Gary at gbarnes017 at gmail dot com.

Yes, we are looking for the lowest prime for each k, so ideally if a prime is found and ranges lower than it are still in progress, the k's should not be removed from the lower-range files (though of course they can be removed from any higher-range files).

However, it can obviously be quite a hassle to re-insert work for k's after having removed them and continued processing on a file; Gary, what would you recommend in this particular situation?

Max

25K-27.5K is complete, 28 primes total. Here are the 24 (confirmed) primes that I have not yet reported:
Code:
44388854*3^25393-1
25894982*3^25436-1
16833254*3^25512-1
43666918*3^25574-1*
86534158*3^25913-1
44456954*3^25932-1
41068894*3^25956-1
47218642*3^26131-1
83781844*3^26152-1*
11844452*3^26267-1
50956558*3^26313-1
24301234*3^26316-1**
54155806*3^26367-1*
18247882*3^26379-1
96906694*3^26725-1
87090628*3^26732-1
61527976*3^26815-1
76656256*3^26897-1
24301234*3^26963-1**
23538958*3^26978-1
33085222*3^27203-1
97013172*3^27210-1
94798642*3^27483-1
51339798*3^27498-1
Note: the k's marked with * had already had higher primes reported by others. I've removed the higher primes from the status post since these are lower. The k marked with ** had two primes in my range; I've only listed the lower one in the status post.

The full results file will be emailed to Gary, since it is way, way too big to post here.

That is correct. The last I updated the files by removing k's with primes, there were 401 k's left. Please be sure and check the TIME in which I deleted those k's. It was Oct. 19th at 7:50 AM. Your post was Oct. 19th at 5:53 PM GMT; about 10 hours later after many more primes had been found.

At this point in the drive, I am getting on once/day and removing k's from the files.

At any time, if you see that I have made updates since you reserved your file(s), you can get on and take a file that has been updated for your range and start from where you are currently at.

This can be very tricky and confusing at times testing so many k's at such a low n-range. I might need to do what I did on the Sierp side and test them all up to n=35K or 40K before starting a team drive.
