Argh!!! I had been working on the range from 250000-260000 for more than 6 months. I had split the work across 2 CPUs (Core 2 Duo). I stopped last week and that was in a range that I hadn't gotten to and would have in a week or so had I kept at it. You probably still would have beaten me to it.

This is the second time that I stopped searching a range just short of a new prime being found.
