help with back up files

I've been using version 25.5 to test a 100 million digit number, and have it set for 2 backup files but it only keeps 1. Also I have iterations between file output set at 50000 but it doesn't give me any output files where my old versions i used filled a whole folder full of backups. somehow it crashed and started over and i lost 2 weeks worth of work. I don't want that happening again is there a switch I need to toggle to get the automatic backups working?

Those options do not work during P-1 factoring. When you get to LL testing they should take effect.

I was at 2.9% into LL testing and neither of them was working. I'm now using a manual backup I made at 2.16%

It sounds like you have problems with file permissions.

I believe If it were file permissions it would not be able to save any files and it does save 1. so are there any other ideas out there, or am I wrong?
