i am looking for for a version of 64-bit linux that will run from a CD or DVD without touching the hard drive
has anyone got any suggestions i want this so i can use my athlon 64 as a 64bit cpu but we need 32bit windows Last fiddled with by henryzz on 2008-04-21 at 06:41 |

At http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download the normal download is a Live CD (what you describe)/installation CD (it's Live with a Install button). Just choose a 64-bit version from that screen.

i have now installed this and i am looking for 64bit linux executables for things that will be speeded up by using 64bit
does anyone have any suggestions on what will be helped by 64bit |
