If you use sr2sieve with the -j switch for Sobistrator compatibility, it is set to "don't ignore duplicates" (mimicking JJSieve's behavior) and it writes duplicates (which it finds essentially for "free") to "factexcl.txt". In answer to Dead J. Dona's question, no, they shouldn't be submitted.

Anon,

Thanks for the explanation. I disagree with your conclusion, though. There is NO HARM in submitting the duplicate factors, and perhaps you will find a glitch in the sieve submission process (perhaps some factors are removed from the dat that have not been removed from the database, etc), so feel free to submit these factors.

best regards,
masser

I think you misunderstood me--I didn't mean to say that there was any harm in submitting the duplicate factors, just that that weren't necessary. Yes, I agree, though, it would be good to submit them anyway just in case--the reason why I suggested otherwise in my last message was because on the PSP factor submission page it says "please do NOT submit duplicate factors as they are unnecessary and increase load on the system"--and, since SR5 uses a similar factor submission system, I figured the same would apply. If there isn't a problem with submitting duplicates, though, then that's great.
