So for your P4 you will get half the time.

I have another question. Given the 13000+ results I sent (assuming few were double-checks) and the thousands of other tests performed since the last prime, how many tests have been performed since the last prime?

I have a method I can use to download numbers from an LLRnet server, crunch them with manual LLR (for the speed boosts added in LLR 3.6), and turn them back into an LLRnet-compatible tosend.txt. I'm sure it could be adapted for phrot--and it would be a lot simpler than reserving an entire k.

There are no definite dates for this rally. The idea was just to get a small bump in testing for a few days, which is what we are seeing on the queue right now. All I was hoping for is that a few folks would throw their resources at our Riesel queue for a few days and maybe we would find a prime.

Although we have not found a prime, I am very happy with the recent push on Riesel testing (see our stats pages), as well as the discussion about phrot that seems to have sprung up with the additional interest in our projects.

As for the NPLB and CRUS rallies, plan away! I have no interest in poaching resources from these projects for long periods of time, as I myself have recently been considering throwing some of my resources at the base 6 conjecture on CRUS. As moderator of SRB5, though, I will continue to occasionally attempt to raise interest in the base 5 projects.

Sounds great. Of course I was joking about 'stealing' of the resources. Nor is that my intent either. We start projects and hope to get searchers and only have a small amount of control over where they come from.

I have tested with Phrot for Sierp base 6 and it appears to be a great program! Even though it is faster, I have not pushed it for that base so far because I think there are many technical issues to work out in incorporating it into an LLRnet (well, actually a Phrot) server. Is that what you are using for base 5?

Anon and/or Carlos, is it possible to integrate Phrot into an LLRnet (Phrot) server for Sierp base 6?

Masser, if this gets too far off on a CRUS discussion and you're OK with it, I might suggest that you move some of the posts to a specific related thread at CRUS. I'm pretty sure it's possible for a mod from the moving project to move posts to a thread from another project.

There is no networked Phrot client yet; thus, the SR5 project is using LLRnet primarily still. Maybe sometime in the future, when Phrot has gotten a little more advanced (i.e. checkpoint/resume, etc.), someone can try modifying the LLRnet client code so that, when it would do a non-base-2 test, it would drive a separate Phrot executable using its command-line interface, instead of doing the PRP test with the standard LLR code.

That way, it would be compatible (and interchangeable) with the current SR5 LLRnet client, and wouldn't require a separate server program to be written from scratch (as it could use the existing LLRnet server system).

the most easyest way is to make a "graphical interface for phrot"
something connecting to the llrnet server, grabbing a k/n pair to test, invoquing phrot (-q option) then reading the result, sending it back to the llrnet server (in a llrnet compatible way)

i can't do anything in programming (last language i "learned" was LOGO 26 years ago ...)
