Not only southern. It is used at least in parts of Lower Saxony as well.

It's Pi Day again. Pi Minute/Pi Second are in about half an hour for people in CDT.

Oh no it isn't!

Only in the US, where the bizarre middle-endian representation of dates is used, was it Pi Day yesterday.

e-Day is still four months away.

Although we outside the USA keep scratching our heads
about what happened on 9th Nov 2001, I think the International
Standard idea of year-month-day etc has some merit wrt a simple
date-sorting program.

On the subject of "predictive" sorting, I have found that
film clips numbered "1" and "11" get miraculously rearranged
these days. Perhaps two wrongs do make a right?
