I've been trying to get the modules working...I know it requires the Net::SSleay (which, in turn, requires OpenSSL) and IO::Socket::SSL modules, but I can't get them working. Unless someone knows of an easy way and they've got it working, this is not worth the trouble.

In trying to find a repository with IO::Socket::SSL, I added one that's not working right, and has locked up my PPM whenever I try to open it. What file does PPM store that list in, so I can remove that one, or reset them all? Edit: Never mind that, I found ppm's man page, with the command to remove the misbehaving repository. Did you ever manage to connect to gmail with TLS? I've given up.

Nope, I never found that IO::Socket::SSL package I need, in a repository, for Perl 5.10, although I stopped looking a while ago (after a newbie's, me, thorough search). Maybe a 5.10 PPM version of it was never made?

OK. I finally got gmail to work using Indy 10 and openSSL. What a pain. This thing is for Win32 only. It seems to work on this XP box but I have not tested it anywhere else.
I don't think there are any loops that'll eat up 100% CPU time.
