Are you sure you're not referring to extremists? I thought it was extremists who were to be shot, and bigots to be harshly discriminated against.

All linux commands have switches you can add to customize output.
"ifconfig eth0" (no quotes) would give you a look at your first (probably primary) ethernet interface
"ifconfig -a" (no quotes) would give a look at all the interfaces on your computer
