Yup. Not that I am a conspiracy theorist or tinfoiler by any means, but I strongly believe that the powers that be [primarily the US] promised her all sorts of things if she went back home, and she was stupid and greedy enough to take their offer at face value. They knew she would not last and it would be Musharraf who looked bad. Now the pressure is on him...

I also heard another interesting theory, that her husband had her offed because she knew too much about his high-level kleptomania and he couldn't trust her not to talk, even though she got caught with her hand in the cookie jar too.

We may never know the truth, but the bottom line is that anarchy rulz over there right now to some extent...my mother-in-law just got back and says that things are dysfunctional, almost down to sub-Saharan Africa levels.
