The page you linked to is just an overview. http://www.sierpinskisieve.com/gap_check.php is the page that lists the available range(s). Currently there is only one range available:

VJS and JoeO, it makes sense now. Thanks for the answers. How do I track the progress of 1000T-1200T range. (What work needs to be done etc)? Will this be posted on the automated ranges website?

I am also interested in looking at ranges that have been reserved and the factors not turned in (i.e. pending), where do I find a list of these ranges?

We stopped allowing that after a user started to poach others reservations.

Really? When I check the user page for the PrimeGrid user, for example, I can see all of its reserved ranges (and when I check other users [since PrimeGrid doesn't have any ranges marked as "complete" yet], I can see completed ranges too).

Thank you for pointing that out. I'll see what can be done about it.

What Citrix was talking about was a list like this:

Now let's say someone decides that October 31, 2007 is a long time to have held a reservation without finishing it. So they decide to start sieving it and submitting the factors they find. The original person waits until they are done sieving before submitting their factors, so their factors come back as already found. Don't you think that they would be angry? Maybe angry enough to quit? It has happened. So we have taken some steps to prevent it from happening again.

As the ranges left between 1000T and 1200T all only require non combined sievieng I decided to run them without public reservation to make sure that we do not end with some ranges done with the wrong dat file.(special when shifting back to normal reservation) That is also the the reason why the download link to the non combined dat file is dead.

Everything upto 1062T is already reserved.

The sieving is done mostly by BlisteringSheep and Brucifer with some small ranges done on my systems.

What ever you guys decide is fine with me. I just wanted to learn a way to look at how the project was progressing. (What sieve ranges are reserved and what are done).

@ Joe O, perhaps the ranges can be posted without the date. So people do not start taking-over other people's ranges. or prevent users from getting credit for factors if the range was not assigned to them.

Actually if they looked at the date, it might give them a reason not to take matters into their own hands. Perhaps my example was not the best. Let me modify it to reflect the most recent incident.
So we have an old range that the user has agreed to give up and we reassign it to someone who promises to do it quickly:

But someone decides that the range is lagging too far behind the current ranges. They do this based on the Min and Max numbers not on the date. If they did look at the date, they would see that it had been reassigned today. Maybe they do look at the date, but they think that they can get it done more quickly, or maybe they just want to do it! So they start on it and submit the factors as they find them. Again, the person assigned to take over the old range waits until they are done before submitting. Same result, no credit, and a very upset siever.
