I don't really care which forum it is located on, just as long as it is easy for me to reserve a (combined) range.

What account do the points for SOB factors that PSP members find go into and what account do the points for PSP factors that SOB members find go into? Any thoughts?

In some case like Green Banks, since he reserved the range here and on SOB's forum, I think he will get personal points than the points going into a team account.

If a person has an account at SoB, then the points could be put under that account. If not, then under a team account. I haven't done sieving for SoB, but I've got some time in grinding on the other stuff.

But again, I'm not adverse to points going into a PSP account at SOB either, as it would help other sob members to see that the sob project was getting something in return for their efforts to help psp. And by the same token, it would also allow the psp people to see how much help they were giving sob.

I don't know as we would really be talking about all that many people from psp working on the combined projects. Any ideas on that?

I'm not opposed to the point going to a team account at SOB, so they are still tracted to the rightful contributor on our stats here.

I would prefer to keep our assignment reservation system here. It's nice to have this one stop for reserving ranges, keeping up with the progress of the project and a short click away from the other prime/fatorization projects of interest on this message board.

The http://Automated Reservation System awaits you. Everyone else seems to have an account there already, so I have created accounts for you. Once you log in you can change your password and input an email here: http://www.sierpinskisieve.com/usercp.php

If you have any problems, PM me or email factrange at yahoo dot com.

This is just the reservation system for combined ranges above 1200000. How you submit factors remains the same.

Everything below 1000000 has now been reserved.
LTD is controlling reservations for 1000000-1200000.
It is time to go to the Combined Automatic Reservation System,
for reserving combined ranges above 1200000.

How you submit factors remains the same,
only the reservation method changes.

No, it just means that that page has not been updated yet.

Basically this is a graph of all factors over that particular range.

x is the sieve prime, (p), or factor.

y is the n value of the k,n part which p factors. Negative numbers are SoB postive numbers are PSP.

It makes more sence when there are gaps which were not sieved with the correct dat or not sieved at all.

For the sieve backup page this is my fault.
I have not as much time as I would like to have at the moment.
Due to private and job issues i have only the time to dop the minimum
work needed to keep everything running.

So i decided to archive the ranges but not to reformat everything to have
it in HTML format at the moment. I hope to catch in my holidays
that start mid december.

Sorry for not beeing able to give you better news.

Maybe you understand better why this has low priority for me at the moment
when I give a list of things planned for the future.

1. sieve interface to primegrid. This will enable automatic factor transmission
from the BOINC server to PSP.
2. LLR interface between primegrid and PSP. This will prepare us to hand out llr work to the BOINC world and receive residues. (no date sheduled yet)
3. llrnet server for doublecheck work. To give everybody with slower systems an oportunity to help i plan to start a double check effort for all results
returned by llrnet so far.
4. modifications on the database backend and the scripts running the system.
Their are some things i want to improve. Their are no known errors in the scripts at the moment but their is some room for performance gains which would allow point 5
5. Create some more stats to show the progress and the contribution to the project.
6. update the html pages.
7. build i nice web interface for www.psp-project.de as it looks horrible.
(That point will be my biggest problem as I am not a designer. If anybody has a suggestion please send it to me)
8. all the time. Housekeeping and checking for primes.

Could some one explain me, what ranges are open to be reserved? Is the range 1000-1200 T complete?

http://www.sierpinskisieve.com/index.php seems really confusing in terms of what ranges are done and what is available. May be we can continue this thread as a summary of what is going on. What ranges prime grid is working on, which ranges are being reserved in the automated system etc.

Thanks!

Cirtix,

Its a work in progress, 1000-1200T is the only range which is questionable right now, what needs sieving will be posted or simply done by a few of us.

<1000T is being handled here
1200-1500 on the automatic system
1500T+ through bionic.

The automatic system is quite easy, request a range and it feeds it too you. It also doesn't allow for double requests/overlaps, etc.
