Am I alone in finding it slightly vexing that, when a search returns with no results and suggests you use a slightly different search term, the next page says 'no soup for you! please wait 59 seconds to submit a search'?
Searches seem to take about 100 milliseconds; do you really have even sixty searchers at a time? |

Unfortunately, some people will try to (maliciously) overwhelm the forum database with repeated (odd) searches. The search uses the most resources of any page we have, and we even have had to reduce the number of returned results in an effort to minimize the hit.
We wish there was a way to let long-time, "trusted" members more latitude with the search timeout, but we cannot figure out a way to do that.

We don't think mods or super mods are limited, but nothing in their usergroup profile indicates this.
If anyone can figure out a way to make this a customizable feature let us know. Documentation: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/ We've also searched the vBulletin forums for ideas but have had no success.
