Default Introducing GIMPS, Now Verifying M10,000,000+!

It's seem that PrimeNet has just started to assign 10,000,000+ Double Check Exponents :D . It is a definite sign of progress. Sure... we will start using 640K FFT sizes, but you will never notice :D . I'm looking forward to testing my first M10 exponent :D , are you?

I started a similar tread for the introduction of the 20M exponents :) , so... I figured I should state the obvious again :D ;)

Shaneamy and I need our own button "I've been doublechecking 10M's for months" :D

In fact, we've already poked a pretty big hole (735 exponents cleared) between 10.95M and 11.14M

I was just going my the majority of exponents out for DC in the Status Report :D . However, i've always wondered how some people can obtain oddball exponents likeM77 and LL tests outside of the standard assignments. Mabey they edit there ini files, forget to check-in their exponents :? , or ask george for your own range :) .

They ask George in most cases. I know that is the case for the 41M, 77M, and 79M exponents.

If you really want to know more about factoring assignments in those "odd" way-out ranges, read the "Lone Mersenne Hunters" forum.

Just a reminder folks:

M39 is short hand for 2^13,466,917-1 A.K.A M13466917,
77M on the other hand is 77,000,000

Seeing the missuse of the convention can confuse newbies.
