Much like what I think about Armstrong -- they may have done some boosting like the rest, but their talent and work ethic still put them head and shoulders above their peers. (And the work ethic and talent argument at least admits of the possibilty that they *might* have accomplished what they did without drugs).

You simply don't win 5 (or 7) TdF's without being supremely talented. No amount of drugs can do that for a person.

But I admit, it's hard to not feel like one is wallowing in a giant miasma of hypocrisy and moral relativism here.

On a different note: I always want to say "Salvodelli", even though I know it's spelled "Savoldelli." Why is that? (I guess you've probably guessed by now that I'm not a real Italian, despite my name. ;)

Nice win for Di Luca.

Props to Il Falco for winning the final ITT in grand style and salvaging a decent result, even though he was out of the running for GC by then.

Team Discovery nowhere to be seen until you get way down on GC...

You can get quite a few video highlights on the Internet. Http://steephill.tv links to the RAI coverage for every stage. Plus if you can navigate around the RAI site and deal with their stupid ICD Flow add-on, you can see quite a bit more. Let me know if you have trouble navigating the RAI site, I can help with the Italian.

Even if you have the money I bet this will be impossible to get.

We had the non-limited-edition 04 Cunego "Team Replica". It has morphed into our current ride. Only the bottom bracket circlips remain original.
