Last year some of us asked for 79M exponents to test. It then turned out that the maximum exponent capable with SSE2 was 77M. My main box is AMD and I still want to proceed with my exponent. Question is: Can P-1 factoring be done on a P4 using the SSE2? I ask because I recieved a generous offer of doing P-1 for me on a box with 2 GB ram. edit: added obligatory banana thingy

Exponents over 77.9M must be LL tested and P-1 tested on non-SSE2 machines.

George, would coding a new FFT size so that P4s can do 79M exponents be a major task?
