Default FFT size limit (79M), SSE2 and P-1

George

Last year some of us asked for 79M exponents to test. It then turned out that the maximum exponent capable with SSE2 was 77M. My main box is AMD and I still want to proceed with my exponent.

Question is:

Can P-1 factoring be done on a P4 using the SSE2? I ask because I recieved a generous offer of doing P-1 for me on a box with 2 GB ram.

edit: added obligatory banana thingy

Exponents over 77.9M must be LL tested and P-1 tested on non-SSE2 machines.

George, would coding a new FFT size so that P4s can do 79M exponents be a major task?
