It was just the text of all posts which was striked through by placing it inside <s> </s> html tags. I have attached the only surviving page in my browser cache.

There are also the two other jokes on April Fools:

1. The banner at the top read gro.murofennesrem, instead of mersenneforum.org.
2. The "black hole" Citrix mentioned was the fact that the words of this specific thread (I didn't see it affecting any others, but maybe it did) were getting removed by forces unknown to mankind

I saw other topics being sucked into black hole :)

The black hole was a missing ">" in the PHP template. It was entirely unintended.

Old posts continued to show because we cache a days worth of posts for instant recall. Only new posts were affected.
